Receiver Failure COMMS

If you suffer a receiver failure, you can still talk to ATCATC —Air Traffic Control but they cannot talk to you. This is called a blind transmission. The message should include your message stated twice, in case anyone else transmits at the same time. It should include "transmitting blind" (or more fully "transmitting blind owing to radio failure") so others are aware of the situation. To ensure they are ready for your next transmission, you should conclude each transmission with the expected time of your next transmission.

As with Mayday calls, you do not want to be searching for another frequency. Make the call on the frequency already in use.
