There is direct contradiction on this point between EASAEASA —European Aviation Safety Agency and ICAOICAO —International Civil Aviation Organisation recommendations. However, based on the feedback of trainees who have attained 100% in the communications exams, the correct answer is simply the frequency, followed by your own callsign. The CAA answer (incorrect for the exam) has the word "contact" at the start. The word "call" is not one of the RT prowords and this answer is always wrong.
