TRSTRS —Tropical Revolving Storm occur in all the major oceans apart from the South Atlantic and the South Eastern Pacific. The reason for this is that the proximity of Antarctica makes those oceans so cold that insufficient evaporation takes place to give the vapour require to fuel a TRSTRS —Tropical Revolving Storm.

The most common place for TRSTRS —Tropical Revolving Storm is the northwest Pacific, around Japan.
