Horizontal visibility is measured in metres in a four digit group. Eg 4500 = 4500m visibility.

Vertical visibility is measured in hundred of feet (the same as cloud) after the symbol VV. Eg VV002 means vertical visibility 200ft.

VV/// means the vertical visibility is not obtainable.
