METAR Visibility MET
There are three types of visibility:
Met visibility is the lowest visibility all around the horizon circle. Prevailing visibility is the greatest value observed or exceeded within at least half the circle surrounding the aerodrome. This is reported in METARMETAR —Meteorological Actual Reports, as a four number group. RVRRVR —Runway Visual Range (Runway Visual Range) is the greatest distance visible directly down the runway recorded in various locations.
