DME Delay Reason RNAV

If the aircraft is within approximately 4 nm of the DMEDME —Distance Measuring Equipment station and there was no delay, then the aircraft would have received the first of the replies from the DMEDME —Distance Measuring Equipment by the time that it starts its second pulse. To stop this, the DMEDME —Distance Measuring Equipment waits before returning the pulses. This error is properly referred to as "uncoordinated operation".

However, it is believed the exam answer to this question is "multipath". (This wrong as this describes a completely different situation.)
