AAIMAAIM —Air Autonomous Integrity Monitoring uses on board sensors to effectively cross check the position the GPSGPS —Global Positioning System (USA) has given you. Ask yourself: is the system entirely on-board the aircraft? If it isn't (VORVOR —VHF Omnidirectional Range/DMEDME —Distance Measuring Equipment/NDBNDB —Non-Directional Beacon/GNSSGNSS —Global Navigation Satellite System), it can't be used for AAIMAAIM —Air Autonomous Integrity Monitoring.
