ILS Failure Flags RNAV
The ILSILS —Instrument Landing System failure flags will show in broadly one of three situations.
- If everything is working but you are not in the ILSILS —Instrument Landing System service area. In this case, you are not receiving a signal.
- If you are in the ILSILS —Instrument Landing System service area but the ground or airborne equipment is faulty or switched off. In this case, again, you are not receiving a signal.
- If there is a significant distortion of the radiation pattern while receiving the signal.
