ILS Glideslope Coverage RNAV
The vertical coverage of the ILSILS —Instrument Landing System glideslope is from 0.45 to 1.75 times the actual published glideslope.
- Taking the glideslope and multiplying it by 0.45 gives the bottom of the coverage.
- Taking the glideslope and multiplying it by 1.75 gives the top.
Do not confuse this coverage with when an overshoot must be undertaken (at half full scale deflection on the CDICDI —Course Deviation Indicator). Full scale deflection is 0.7°, while an overshoot must be undertaken at the glideslope ± 0.35°.
