MLS Distance RNAV

The MLSMLS —Microwave Landing System measured distance to the aircraft using the newer variant of the DMEDME —Distance Measuring Equipment, called a Precision DMEDME —Distance Measuring Equipment or DMEDME —Distance Measuring Equipment (P). Combined with knowing the angular deviation and height profile, this enables it to arrive at a full 3d picture of where the aircraft is.
