Commercial Radio Use RNAV
Certain commercial stations, notably those you would find on the "AM" function of your car radio, operate within the same band as NDBNDB —Non-Directional Beacons. As the ADFADF —Automatic Direction Finder simply detects which direction the signal is coming from, it has no way of distinguishing between a real NDBNDB —Non-Directional Beacon and an aerial broadcasting on a similar frequency.
Similarly, where you would hear the ident of an NDBNDB —Non-Directional Beacon, you can hear the radio station itself. It goes without saying that, while possible, that this is a very bad idea - they are not to be used for navigation or entertainment!
