SSR Frequencies RNAV

The SSRSSR —Secondary Surveillance Radar operates in the UHFUHF —Ultra High Frequency band, so the answer will be in MHz. The frequencies are different so the SSRSSR —Secondary Surveillance Radar does not lock onto ground reflections. The difference between the two is 60 MHz (be careful, as for DMEDME —Distance Measuring Equipment the answer to the same question is 63 MHz). Finally, you can think of the aircraft as being the "higher" transmitter, with a higher frequency.
