VOR/NDB Variation RNAV
Variation is applied "where the work is being done":
- For an NDBNDB —Non-Directional Beacon, the calculation of bearing is done by the ADFADF —Automatic Direction Finder, in the aircraft.
- For a VORVOR —VHF Omnidirectional Range, the phase difference is applied at the beacon.
You therefore use the variations at these respective places.
